Reserves and Thirds keep promotion hopes alive
by
Apr 25: The men's Third team produced an excellent team performance that deservedly earned them three points from their home game against Burnham Ramblers Reserves on Saturday. The win means Beacon are still in the tight race for promotion out of Mid-Essex Division 5. The Ladies also claimed victory with a two-goal win over C&K Basildon Reserves. With one game left in their season Beacon are assured of fourth place in Essex County League Division 2. The Reserves played out a score draw away to second-placed Felsted Rovers. As a result chance still remains for a top-three finish in Mid-Essex Division 4 leading up to their County Trophy Final on Wednesday night. Following a busy mid-week the First team suffered a heavy defeat away to Braintree and Bocking United. See team pages for match reports.
