Firsts climb table while Reserves slip on the prom
by
Apr 23: The First team earned three valuable points on Tuesday in a dramatic win at fellow Premier Division strugglers Springfield Rouge. Two late goals secured the victory that takes Beacon out of the bottom three with games still in hand. They then found themselves on the receiving end of a narrow loss as they fell on penalties away to Ramsden in a cup match on Thursday. On Wednesday the Reserves let a half-time three goal lead slip - and in the end had to fight to hold on to a point away to Mundon Vics Reserves. No win in eight league games has given the team a mountain to climb if they are to secure promotion out of Division 4. The next three games, each against promotion rivals, will be decisive. See team pages for full match reports.
