Reserves on course as Ladies bounce back

Mar 15: The reserves continue to press for promotion, winning comfortably at Springfield on Saturday. Lying third in the league with games in hand, they face fourth-place Durning next week in an vital match for both teams. The ladies put last week's cup disappointment behind them with an emphatic home win over mid-table Runwell & Rayleigh. With six league games remaining their promotion chase hots-up next weekend with a trip to second-place Redbridge. The First team played out a scoreless draw against Silver End United which saw them gain ground on teams above. They travel to UCC next weekend in a vital league encounter. Meanwhile the Thirds' promotion chase took a stumble away to rivals Battlesbridge. In a spirited display Beacon took the lead before the home side's pressure told and earned them a narrow victory.
