Last season's success has lead Beacon Hill's adult teams to face new challenges in 2010 / 2011. Most notably, the Reserves gain promotion to Division 3 of the Mid Essex League and the Thirds rise to Division 4, while the First team maintain their status in the League's Premier Division and the Ladies step up to the top Essex tier. The Reserves' (pictured) achievement moves them up with last season's rivals White Hart and Felsted Rovers, accompanied by St.Clere's Reserves, who last year battled it out with the Thirds in Division 5. Braintree and Bocking, Frenford Senior B and Byfleet Rangers will be familiar opponents, having met all three in Division 4 back in 2008 / 2009. Beacon will be confident of a strong showing in Division 3 this term after completing a double over White Hart in the league and defeating the now Division 1 side Writtle Manor and Premier Division new boys St. Clere's as they went on to triumph in the County Trophy last season. The Thirds meanwhile, accompany Silver End United into Division 4, setting a new standard for Beacon Hill's tertiary adult side. Beacon will recognise Tillingham Hotspur and Durning from 2008 / 2009 and most notably Great Baddow Reserves - having met in the Division 5 League Cup final of 2009 and in this year's Burnham Charity Cup final. Trips out to new faces Basildon Athletic and Rayleigh Boys Reserves will break new ground but after their excellent end-of-season performances and the inclusion of some fresh faces, particularly new graduates from the academy, Beacon's A team will be looking forward facing their toughest challenge with confidence. After a frustrating campaign last time out, the First team will be looking to tap into the undoubted potential of their squad and make a strong challenge in the Premier Division this season which marks their 12th consecutive year in the Mid Essex top flight. Fresh opportunities arrive due to the promotions of Great Baddow and the aforementioned St. Clere's, as Beacon look to turn their closely contested narrow defeats from last season into positive results. The Ladies have also been given a fresh challenge as they enter the newly formed Premier Division of the Essex County Women's League. Having beaten the three teams promoted with them and won against top flight opposition last season, the Ladies will offer a stern test to the likes of Witham Town and Southend United in the coming year.
