First team end season on last-minute high

May 14: The First team scored two goals in the final minute of their season to snatch a dramatic victory from Harold Wood on Thursday evening. The stunning finale delivered by Adam Sansom and Dave Heward capped a great team performance that may prove decisive in Beacon's bid to stay in the Premier Division. See the Firsts' team page for the full match report. Despite taking the lead the Veterans lost heavily to Herongate Athletic at home on Thursday. Their final game is away to Benfleet this weekend. On Tuesday the Reserves' league match against Focus Ferrers was canceled as their opponents failed to show. Beacon's final league game of the season is against the Division's bottom team Marconi Athletic at home on Saturday. A win would secure fourth in the table, with a possibility of third depending on other results. The third team, already having secured fourth place, go to Dunmow in their final league match of the season. Also with fourth spot assured, the ladies return to action on Sunday as they play at home against FC Clacton in their final league game of the season.
